What made you start surfing:

My good Friend was surfing all the time and it sort of made me go “ya…I want a piece of that”. Also I have been living in this Surfing Mecca for 15 years…. I decided I better start taking advantage of what the ocean has to offer here.

Who are your surfing Idols:

Well I don’t really follow competitive surfing, however I have just been on a surf trip to Sri Lanka with my girlfriends who surf in Lennox. They inspired and encouraged me the whole trip as I was the most inexperienced, so I would have to say that they are my surfing Idols! They know who they are

Fav Wave:

I loved Peanuts, and Lazy Rights in Sri Lanka. At home I love Lennox Beach, Flatty and Arrawara Point.

Dream surfing Scenario

To retire from the Mon – Friday slog so I can choose to surf whenever I wish.

Surfing goals:

To get out there as much as I can, to keep improving. I’d also love to try surfing the point on a small day sometime in the future.

Surfing makes me feel: Alive, Happy and Proud!

October Club Round Results

October Club Round started with a nice light NNW breeze and some tiny fun rides for the girls on both banks, before the wind shifted to a very breezy SSW by mid-morning, which coincided with the rising tide, making us switch back to one bank. Conditions deteriorated to make it challenging for the finals, with not much more than a shore break to catch, but everyone gave it their best shot. Beginners, both Junior and Senior, enjoyed having the coaching team in the water with them, with lots of hoots audible from the shore. Well done to everyone who took part on the day!!

September Club Round Results

1 to 3 ft conditions to start off the day. Junior and Senior Beginners had a great 1st round on the north bank while Longboards kicked us off with some nice long rides to the south. Great turn out for the day.
The easterly wind did come up as the tide ran out making conditions less desirable for the Opens and Junior Intermediate, but in true All Girls style there were many laughs, lots of support and a slight offshore breeze at the pub to finish the day.
Yeeeeew!!

August Club Round Results – 2018

Our August Club round was held at Flatrock due to unsuitable banks at Lennox.
It was a grey, overcast rainy day but the surf was a clean 2 to 3 ft, the water was warm and spirits high.
Due to low numbers, (think the rain made it hard to get out of bed!), we ran straight finals in all divisions, the 20 minute heats allowed everyone to score a couple of great waves per heat.
Thanks to everyone who made it down for the round, thanks also to Melissa for towing the trailer, Serena for being our contest director. Big thanks to all those that helped with judging and the pack up and pack down of all the gear in the slightly damp weather!

See you all at the Bunnings BBQ next weekend and then coaching on Saturday the 8th
This months results are – Opens 1/ Nxyie Ryan 2/ Serena Adams 3/ Sarah Morison 4/ Leilani Morgan Longboards 1/ Maz Pentecost 2/ Jen Hollier
